I ended up with a $109 billion surplus, mostly by cutting military-related spending mostly in half, increasing science and alternative energy budgets significantly, and raising taxes on the richest Americans by 5-15%, I think. And I made Social Security balanced with a 12% extra payment with just a few tweaks.

It makes you realize how ridiculous Congress is being by trying to cut little things like fuel oil subsidies for the poor to save only a few tens of billions.
